Anyone who has recovered from surgery knows that opioids should only be taken on a short term basis. Chronic use necessitates dependence on ever increasing doses.
Americans now have access to products such as CBD oil and tramadol. Only non-addictive substances should be used for chronic pain management.
I am a retired physician. I have been quite skeptical of the CDC and NIH for a qood while, suspecting that they have become political tools instead of LITERALLY “following the science.” Back in the early spring of 2021 I watched senate testimony by Dr. Kory and his colleagues and became convinced that treatment with ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine were very effective in preventing CCP virus hospitalizations and deaths.
As luck would have it, within the week I received a desperate phone call from a younger cousin in another state; he, his wife, and his twenty-something daughter had all been diagnosed (via testing) with the CCP virus. The wife was very sick.
He is a pilot and possessed a pulse oximeter, which he applied to the three of them. His wife’s O2 sats were in the ‘eighties – very worrisome. She was quite short of breath and deteriorating clinically. I called in prescriptions for ivermectin at his local pharmacy for the three of them, based on their weights.
I checked on them at bedtime; all said they were “better.” The next morning, “much better.” Within three days all were symptom-free except for the wife’s nagging cough. All have expressed gratitude for what was clearly a rescue; the wife has said multiple times that the treatment, “saved my life.” I can’t dispute that.
If the nation’s top docs are going into politics, then they need to quit medicine. If they want to be doctors, they need to be doctors. Now I have local pharmacists lecturing me about medicine and refusing to fill prescriptions. This must stop.
