The precipitous fall of Afghanistan has left many wondering what went wrong?

Colonel Julie Hall, who served in the military for 30 years and is running for Congress in Massachusetts, shares her thoughts with “After Dark” of what the aftermath will be from the fall of Afghanistan and America’s seemingly “Oops” departure. When she heard the military was leaving, she explained that she thought the military had a plan and everything was going ok, but this wasn’t the case.

She says that she is very concerned for the women and children, seeing what is happening now in the country. Having had freedom, many of the Afghani women will refuse to give it up. As a result, these women will suffer the most as many will be tortured and beheaded. The thought of this makes her very angry for “we are going to get them (women) killed.”

“Where is the outrage,” she asked exasperatedly, “of my Democratic women who want to have pro-choice and independence and all of this? Where is the outrage to support these women that we left there? Why are they (American women) not speaking up and saying this is unacceptable for women of any place to be treated in this manner? And they know what’s going to happen to them. They know what’s going to happen to the children. Unacceptable, totally unacceptable.”

The army veteran predicts the horrible acts of violence against the women playing out as quickly as the Taliban took over the country. This will make the Taliban “the big dog on the block.” Unfortunately, she says the actions by Biden’s Administration are equivalent to “letting the whole world down.” She says our allies will question our commitment to them, and our enemies will not fear us.

Colonel Julie Hall

While she is very passionate about her thoughts, she is forever reminded of a soldier’s mission. Our mission in the military is to fight and to win. Our mission is to win wars, period. Our mission is to ensure that our national assets are secure and that we defend our country⏤nothing more and nothing less.”

Colonel Julie Hall is a United States Air Force veteran. Having served 30 years in the military, she is a patriot and a proud mother of a son. She has served as a member of the Massachusetts Governor’s Advisory Council on Veterans Services, and a member of the Attleboro Planning Board, Chair Zoning and Ordinance Subcommittee, Justice of the Peace in Mass and was a chief compliance officer for Nova Farms, LLC.
