“It was the best of times; it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair.”
Who would have thought this introduction to “A Tale of Two Cities” written by Charles Dickens in the 1800s would be a reflection of our society today. Yet here we are at a time of misinformation over vaccines, voting rights, perceived racism, among other things. What’s so damning is our elected officials, the people chosen to represent us, are causing more harm than good with disinformation created for political gain.
The hosts of “After Dark” with returning guest Heather Robinson discuss these unordinary times facing our nation. They also look at how politics have managed to slip into entertainment, making it impossible to enjoy.
