Who would have thought this introduction to “A Tale of Two Cities” written by Charles Dickens in the 1800s would be a reflection of our society today. Yet here we are at a time of misinformation over vaccines, voting rights, perceived racism, among other things. What’s so damning is our elected officials, the people chosen to represent us, are causing more harm than good with disinformation created for political gain.
The hosts of “After Dark” with returning guest Heather Robinson discuss these unordinary times facing our nation. They also look at how politics have managed to slip into entertainment, making it impossible to enjoy.
Heather Robinson is a New York-based freelance journalist who regularly contributes to The New York Post, Jewish News Syndicate, the U.S. Spectator, and other publications. She has appeared as a pundit on “CNN with Anderson Cooper” and Fox News’s “Geraldo At Large,” discussing human rights, popular culture, and the Mideast. She has also worked as a college writing instructor at New York University and Touro College in Brooklyn.
