News coverage has been plentiful about transgender and gender reassignment surgery for adults and hormone blockers for children. What isn’t talked about is the trauma these adults and children often go through once they realize the change isn’t for them. Kevin Whitt, an ex-gay activist, knows this story all too well. He lived it first-hand. He experienced the gay trans-lifestyle. He shares his story on “After Dark With Rob and Andrew.” Whitt’s shocking story of redemption and finding God is compelling. At one point in his life, Whitt said, he identified as a trans-male. He was a drag queen and gay prostitute. However, that was before he found Christ and turned his life around. The author-speaker said although he is considered feminine, he does not identify as gay. He says he identifies himself as a “Man of God.” He cautions parents whose children are exposed to “Drag Queer Story Hour” at schools and public libraries. The activist says, “these storytimes are wrong and designed to confuse children.”
Kevin Whitt – From Party Boy to Christian Man
Kevin Whitt is an author and speaker. He grew up in a dysfunctional home with a very abusive father. As a child, he said he endured verbal, physical, and sexual abuse at the hands of his father. The abuse led him to a lifestyle of debauchery and self-hate. Because he was bullied in school, he dropped out and became homeless. As a young adult, he became active on the gay nightclub scene, dancing and performing in drag. He said he despised Christians because they said gay people were going to hell. It wasn’t until he was invited to church by a fellow stripper that his transformation from gay to Christian took place. Looking back on his life, he said he has found peace and wants to share that with others who shared similar experiences. White says, “I now understand that my sensitivity and interests in art, fashion, and beauty do not equate to homosexuality. I love being a man just the way I was designed to be.”

I support Kevins position..and,, Medical doctors DO NOT willy nilly do any surgeries w/o parental consent. That said…Oh course I believe it’s wrong on any level to have such surgery done on children. As to God made you straight, good luck with that. My lesbianism was a choice because I fell in love with a woman at 26. I enjoyed satisfying relationships with wonderful men up till then. It was a romance with a woman that was magic! You are reminding me of Little Richard denying attitude. Many of us have come from hard knocks lives and families in different kinds of ways. Your’s is more out there. Being a psychologist know you have come from a well to do family and be broken inside. All the best in your activism.
