On Monday, Tim Scott, the junior Senator from South Carolina, announced his candidacy for President. By Thursday, the hosts of The View were claiming he was a Clarence Thomas-like Republican that did not understand systemic racism.
The comments were made by Joy Behar, a white woman on the left telling a black man how he should be thinking and feeling. The View often represents the Left, and they made it clear their stance was that black Republicans are not black enough for their judgments.
Behar was quoted, “He’s one of these guys who, you know, he’s like Clarence Thomas. Black Republican who believes in pulling yourself by your bootstraps, rather than, to me, understanding the systemic racism that African Americans face in this country, and other minorities. He doesn’t get it. Neither does Clarence. And that’s why they’re Republicans.”
Her co-host Whoopi Goldberg agreed with the assessment. We are watching the television media continue the narrative that your experience is only valid if you vote Democrat. When will the left denounce the blatant discrimination and imposed racism from their own views?
In other stories, Elon Musk is working with Ron DeSantis to bring him onto a Twitter space later today. It is expected that DeSantis will be announcing his presidential bid while on with Elon. Does this equate to election interference? Should Elon be offering equal opportunities for all candidates?
