Truckers of the World Unite! Report from the Great White North Revolution
“When you arrogant, fasco-Marxist deep staters piss off us terminally nice, polite Canadians, you should have gotten a clue a long, long time ago that you have crossed a bridge too far. But you didn’t. And now it is too late,” – A Canadian patriot. Truckers of the World Unite! You have nothing to lose but those oppressive vaccine mandates by the self-appointed elite! My apologies to Karl Marx. I have simply updated his Communist Manifesto (which I have on my bookshelf, by the way) to a more appropriate phrase, where us poor hoi polloi in flyover country wish to throw off the yoke of the fasco-Marxist oppressor.
By now, those of you who keep informed have heard of the peoples’ revolt against the fasco-Marxist vaccine lockdown in Ottawa, the capital of Canada, led by truckers from coast to coast… along with a sizable portion of the to-date beaten-down population also participating. Just to establish my bona fides to write about this, while I now live in the US, I lived in Ottawa for a decade (25 rue Bruyère in Lowertown, if you need specifics), and know exactly what is going on, including daily communication with “feet on the street,” in the form of family and friends.
Every day for a decade, I walked to work in Ottawa on Wellington, Elgin, Slater, Laurier, and other streets. While not currently in Ottawa, and I will not use names here, I have personally known and been multiple times in the house of the lead civil servant in Canada (specifically the clerk of the Privy Council, who previously acted as the deputy minister of Foreign Affairs); I attended church with Trudeau’s Minister of Health, later President of the Treasury Board (who resigned due to Trudeau’s corruption in the SNC-Lavalin affair – and you are correct, Biden is not the only corrupt leader out there; drama teacher rich boy turned prime minister Trudeau does a pretty good imitation!), was friends with the personal assistant to the wife of an earlier prime minister, and, on my wife’s side, one family member – who shall also remain nameless out of privacy – was instrumental in raising Justin Trudeau’s during his early childhood for a brief period of time.
I received a personal report from my brother-in-law, who was in the truck convoy to Ottawa but had to drop out short of the city. He reported a massive number of overpasses on the 401 (main highway from Toronto to Montreal) were absolutely packed with people waving and encouraging them. At the links below, you can view and make your own estimates of numbers of supporters. And in terms of the pulse of the country, I have lived in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec (and speak exceptionally poor French!), and own property in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, which is as far east as you can go before hitting England. I have driven from the very west coast of Vancouver Island (where I lived) – in fact, the dock in Tofino, BC, next stop Japan – all the way across Canada to as far east as you can go, Glace Bay, Nova Scotia (Cape Breton). Total distance is 6,647 km—all of this I have done multiple times. In sum, you just might suspect I have a bit of a pulse on the country.
For the fake news take on the matter, you can watch CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corp., now not-so-affectionally known as “Constantly Broadcasting Covid), which is no more than one of the elite’s mouthpieces, or CTV, its ugly national sister – see the links below. In fact, I suggest you do so. And if this were 1967 in Brezhnev’s USSR, I would also suggest you read Pravda and Izvestia. Know who these people are. They are clever, not smart, and they are completely enmeshed in group think – which is their fatal flaw, and a web from which they cannot escape. Watch CBC accuse – yes, really – Russia of being behind the convoy (I just wish they could come up with a new cliché, don’t you? Are their writers really that unimaginative? Can’t they, say, accuse Bulgaria, or maybe the folks in Ulan Bator, Mongolia just for once?).
The MSM also repeatedly warned against violence, which you will see as you read their sites. No violence occurred, but no matter! To the fake news, it is probably just as good to imply it might be possible, as the unthinking viewer will simply emotionally equate the accusation with the non-fact that it “did” happen.
See my un-favorite paper of all-time, The Ottawa Citizen and its article, Ottawa police warn weekend protest will be ‘risky’ and unpredictable, ask people to avoid downtown as exhibit A. Or watch the Canadian fake news call out the “big money” behind the protest (all donated by small fry like you and me, most of it 25 or 50 bucks at a time) – all while the rhinestone fasco-Marxists at CBC a few years ago took in a cool $1.5 billion in taxpayer money – at the same time (just like their evil twin in the US, CNN), they dropped to less than 3.9% viewership a few years ago.
For your viewing displeasure, here is CBC’s link: https://www.cbc.ca/television, and here is CTV’s link: https://www.ctv.ca/. Check them out. Watch the sophomoric, Cirque du Soleil-like bending and twisting of the truth. Another complaint by the mainstream media was that protesters were inconveniencing shoppers – which falls on a few deaf ears in that the protest area has little to no critical shopping facilities, such as grocery stores; another person interviewed complained that he “couldn’t go skating on the canal,” and mayor Jim Watson whined on CTV that the protestors disrespected a statue of Terry Fox (a famed Canadian cancer victim and hero who attempted to run across Canada), as shown here. Truth is, Fox may well have supported his being used in the name of freedom, and a flag placed upside down was probably placed inadvertently. There was also a complaint that a single woman was seen standing and cheering on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. And as of Saturday evening, the Acting Deputy Police Chief Trish Ferguson said there had been zero violence.
But here is the key point: Compare the above to the left’s burning buildings and violent assaults on passersby in their Portland, OR. riots, or Seattle – which in addition to all the violence and burnings, also had multiple shootings and deaths in its CHOP/CHAZ zone, or Minneapolis, which included the left burning down the non-profit native American heritage site, Migizi, among other native buildings damaged by leftist protesters. As writer Dave Barry used to say, you just can’t make this stuff up – protesting George Floyd by burning down native American heritage sites. Now, gentle reader, compare these outrages to the “outrage” of Terry Fox having a flag inadvertently draped upside down on him, and a woman – quite possibly just caught up in the moment and not realizing it – dancing (oh! the horrors!) and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
Then, when you are done, to get a sense of what the fake news is really about, take a quick review at these couple-minute clips of multiple MSM news outlets in past history parroting, ipsissima verba, each other across the country, here or here. Now you will understand why Soren Kierkegaard (1813-1855) foretold media gambit all almost 200 years ago, writing, “Suppose someone invented an instrument, a convenient little talking tube which, say, could be heard over the whole land. I wonder if the police would not forbid it, fearing that the whole country would become mentally deranged if it were used.” Need evidence of Kierkegaard’s prediction? Just turn on the Canadian CBC or CTV, or in the US, CNN, ABC, MSNBC or perhaps read the bought-and-paid-for-by-Pfizer “news” from Reuters. Or perhaps howl at his Pravda-esque piece of propaganda, Canada’s CDS ‘sickened’ Over Capitol Hill-like Protests At Ottawa’s National War Memorial, where this person – obviously not a math major estimated 10,000 people in attendance. No doubt, attendance numbers will vary, but having been at many Canada Day celebrations on Parliament Hill, from all the photos taken, attendance was many, many times that. CTV has overhead satellite imagery if that helps you here, but what it doesn’t show at all are all the major roads packed out leading into and out of the city – Kent, Elgin, Lyon, etc. A better hint is this link on Youtube of the trucks alone.
Also, note that sister protests occurred in most major Canadian cities at the same time (remember, virtually all the protesters are working stiffs; not everyone can be an Antifa thug and get paid by George Soros to take a couple of weeks off and go burn down a city). And my own family reports there were hundreds and hundreds of people packing a massive number of overpasses or lining the roads all the way from Toronto to Ottawa. My estimate of a similar number to Canada Day celebrations was corroborated by a personal friend and Ph.D. in maths candidate at Carleton Univ. (one of two universities in the city, and where I briefly taught part-time). And remember, the high-temperature Saturday in Ottawa was somewhere in the vicinity of +5F.
Now… when you are done with the propaganda, go view the YouTube channel (until it, too, gets banned) Ottawalks, an Ottawa-based channel that simply walks the city, with minimal narration, and judge for yourself. Here is one video from the Friday night prior, but explore the site for others.
And if you are tired of the elite telling you, one of the poor, unwashed masses, what to think, I strongly suggest you review www.rebelnews.com, or TrueNorth News at TNC.news. MIT-trained engineer turned Covid philanthropist Steve Kirsch also has a good overview here.
The truth is, our battle was clearly laid out by Edward Bernays (1891-1995). Bernays, who is known as the father of advertising, who published the landmark book Propaganda in 1928, and was named one of the 100 most influential Americans of the 20th century by Life, laid it all out decades ago:
“The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. …We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of. This is a logical result of the way in which our democratic society is organized. Vast numbers of human beings must cooperate in this manner if they are to live together as a smoothly functioning society. …In almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct, or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons…who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind.”
But, returning to the truckers’ protest, here is the rub: As noted, once you piss off Canadians, that is no different from looking down while trespassing, and seeing a Doberman that has already chewed off half your leg. Hints: it’s already too late – you should have gotten a clue long before that! Protests are coming to DC., Brussels, and if Australia has not turned into a giant Covid Buchenwald yet, Sydney (and don’t forget Ardern’s Wellington in New Zealand).
Here is the challenge: The elite, while wealthy and connected, are not really that smart. They necessarily must and will repeat their old tried and true antics. This battle for our freedom from the fasco-Marxists will turn on our ability to recognize and deal with the useful idiots. As plans are made for the US truckers’ convoy, both a game plan for this gambit, as well as a defined end-game, will be critical.
