We talk a lot about problems in Washington and our statehouses, but that is not our only problem. It’s not just our governments that are broken, but society itself is broken. Freedoms and rights that were considered sacrosanct when I was younger are now ignored, ridiculed, and even disdained. I believe it was John Adams that said our form of government is for a moral people, and wholly inadequate for any other. What are Americans to do when society itself is no longer concerned with protecting the rights of the people? Can America stand for truth, justice, and the American way when all three of them seem to be despised today?
