A recent poll by The Trafalgar Group found that more than half of Americans don’t believe the government in Washington, D.C., follows the will of the people. Does that surprise you? Better yet, if those in Washington, D.C., do not follow the will of the people, why do they still have a job? We hire people in government to be public servants, to serve the will of the people, and exercise the just powers we’ve consented to. So if they aren’t doing that, why do we keep hiring them? Today, I’ll take some time to look at this study from The Trafalgar Group, then at some recent stories that show why the majority of Americans in the poll are absolutely right.
