The diversity of America is a big part of its founding ideals, even with the scars of slavery, America is the one place that provides the opportunity to succeed on your terms. While the majority of Americans would embrace the principle point of our ‘founding ideals,’ there are those who wish to use race as a means to divide the people. “Black America is one of the most loyal supporters of this nation, even though that nation held them as slaves,” says Robert Woodson. “America is defined by its promise, not just its past,” Woodson said.
Bob Woodson joins Malcolm on ‘The Voice of a Nation’ with an inspiring discussion on the evils of racism, and the opportunities and promise of America. Robert L. Woodson – Founder and President of the Woodson Center, he founded the Center in 1981 to help residents of low-income neighborhoods address the problems of their communities. A former civil rights activist, he has headed the National Urban League Department of Criminal Justice, and has been a resident fellow at the American Enterprise Foundation for Public Policy Research.
1776 Unites maintains a special focus on voices in the black community who celebrate black excellence, reject victimhood culture, and showcase the millions of black Americans who have prospe red by embracing the founding ideals of America.
