The threat of war in Ukraine brings with it a specter of a more significant conflict that could involve the world. What are the chances for a new war between world powers?

It’s complicated. Global concerns about the imminent possibility of war in Ukraine are the products of an over-heated political climate in which lies masquerade as news stories; intelligence reports are constantly contradicting each other, and politicians from different countries are working tirelessly to stir the pot. Conflicting reports from the region continue to flood the newsfeeds, and political propaganda muddies the waters even further.

Moscow, Washington, and London have been carrying out a massive disinformation and propaganda war that continues to rile the world and terrify the pundits. It is fodder for their hysteria mill – and it is working.

Internally, in Ukraine, the area called Donbas in the Southeastern part of the country, where two breakaway states are attempting to return to Russia, it is already a shooting war in which a kindergarten was just blown up, allegedly by pro-Russian forces. According to intelligence sources, though, the volunteer battalion ‘Myrotvorets,’ who are also thought to be a neo-Nazi group operating to destabilize Ukraine, were responsible for that attack.

First reports said it was a rocket attack, but intelligence sources say the Myrotvorets planted nearly 70 grenades rather than firing shells, in an empty kindergarten. It was intended to destabilize the situation in Ukraine. But Washington and London took another tack. They accused Russia of carrying out a false flag attack” as an excuse to invade Ukraine.

Early on, in this saga of international intrigue, Biden warned us of impending war as Russia, he said, planned its attack. And even after Ukraine’s President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, begged him to stop inflaming the situation, Biden insisted that war was imminent. After all, it wasn’t his country, his citizens, who were at risk. He was out to bait the Russian bear. And our allies joined in.

On February 17, the Ministry of Defense in the United Kingdom further stroked the fires of war by publishing a map of seven possible invasion routes, which they said Russia might use to attack Ukraine.

Political and national adversaries have jumped on the bandwagon and accused each other of releasing dissenting misinformation and making inflammatory accusations. The U.S. and Europe are now playing a dangerous game with Putin, and taunting him into war.

In the meantime, Russian troops have been having military exercises for weeks in Belarus and Crimea, which surround much of Ukraine. There have been conflicting stories about possible Russian withdrawal in the last few days. Or not.

Up to 130,000 Russian troops, supported by 1,200 tanks, fighter jets, and long-range missile batteries, are still positioned along Ukraines borders in the north (Belarus), the east (the disputed Donbas region), and the south (Crimea).

So the question is this:  Will he or won’t he invade Ukraine?

This is going to be a cliff-hanger of sorts because it’s tough to get the story straight, and there are so many stories. But here’s my take on it, and we’ll see what happens.

Despite its protestations of troop withdrawal, Russia is likely to be planning to invade. If so, it is logical that their first effort will be to liberate the eastern portion of Ukraine known as Donbas, where the disputed, breakaway territories of Luhansk and Donetsk are located. This is the logical point of attack since the majority of residents are pro-Russia, and resistance there will be relatively minimal. Then Luhansk and Donetsk will be absorbed into Russia.

In the face of a Russian invasion, Biden will rattle his saber and repeat incoherent slogans about freedom and democracy. But the Russian Nord Stream pipeline, which he warned would be buried if Russia attacked, will continue to be built, against all the best interests of the West.

The basic truth is that Putin has always wanted to annex Ukraine in his quest to recreate the Soviet Union. But there is more going on here than that. It may be that he was originally uncertain, that it all depended on the reaction he received from the White House, and what he got was words but no fist. He got a challenge from a weak and disoriented President who could not muster up either the wit or the wisdom to prevent a Russian invasion.

Joe Biden is driven by personal greed and supported by the greed of those around him, who guide him through the dangerous waters that he can’t seem to navigate himself. A barely coherent Biden is no threat to Putin. And although he rattled his sword and spoke words of warning, he is no match for the Russian leader, who now sees no impediment to invading and annexing at least part of Ukraine.

This will not be World War III. Not yet. But it may well be a prelude to a war that no one will be able to stop, once it begins.

Nina Khrushcheva. author of the book, ‘In Putin’s Footsteps: Searching for the Soul of an Empire …’, was on MSNBC today (Feb. 25, 2022) and stated that Putin war with Ukraine is a proxy war, and his real war is with the United States. Don’t tell that to  Joe Biden, he wouldn’t understand it. Add that to Putin’s Feb. 24 threat,
“To anyone who would consider interfering from the outside – if you do, you will face consequences greater than any you have faced in history”. —- in the article, ‘Putin’s chilling warning to the West if anyone tries to stop invasion’, by Faye Brown, https://metro.co.uk/2022/02/24/ukraine-invasion-vladmir-putin-issues-chilling-warning-to-the-west-16161100/
You can’t fight a conventional war with Putin and win, because he will turn to nukes. Biden is falling into Putin’s trap.
The only way to fight Russia, is to out technology them. We have to totally neutralize their nuclear capability, or face possible extinction. Putin’s taking Chernobyl in Ukraine first, is a loud clear signal of his possible future intentions.
The United States used to work on a Star Wars program to thwart nuclear attacks from the Putin’s of the world. We need to throw all research and technology into such programs warp speed, and then clear the Earth of garbage like Putin.  Sleepy Joe Biden needs to wakeup. By the time his sanctions become effective, World War III may be over, to our detriment.

Good article but you say the only way to fight Russia, is to out technology them. We have to totally neutralize their nuclear capability, or face possible extinction.

How? Our education system, taken over by the left and their fasco-Marxists, is useless.

Bring in more H1B1 Visas from China and India. We need the best technologists. Today, Putin put some of his ‘nuclear forces’ on high alert. “Vladimir Putin’s decision to put Russia’s deterrence forces, which includes nuclear arms,…”, in the article, ‘White House responds to Russia’s decision to put deterrence forces on high alert’, by Sam Fossum, Arlette Saenz and Devan Cole, CNN, February 27, 2022
In some sense, the United States shows the same lackadaisicalness towards Putin, as Ukraine did before it was invaded by Putin.  From the Department of Defense website, the

“Ballistic Missile Defense System is an integrated, “layered” architecture that provides multiple opportunities to destroy missiles and their warheads before they can reach their targets. The system’s architecture includes:

  • Networked sensors (including space-based) and ground- and sea-based radars for target detection and tracking;
  • Ground- and sea-based interceptor missiles for destroying a ballistic missile using either the force of a direct collision, called “hit-to-kill” technology, or an explosive blast fragmentation warhead, and;
  • A command, control, battle management and communications network providing the operational commanders with the needed links between the sensors and interceptor missiles.

Missile defense elements are operated by U.S. military personnel from U.S. Strategic Command, U.S. Northern Command, U.S. Pacific Command”, ——–  https://dod.defense.gov/News/Special-Reports/21st-Century-Nuclear-Deterrence-and-Missile-Defense/

But no laser defense against ballistic missiles, because the Reagan era Stars Wars/Strategic Defense Initiative technology was too futuristic. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strategic_Defense_Initiative

With Joe Biden openingly giving military aid to Ukraine, against Putin’s warnings, he is pressing the issue. If Putin fires 500 nuclear missiles at once, are their enough U.S. interceptors, how many nukes will get through, will the U.S. be able to retaliate because Putin will target our nuke launch sites, who will bury the dead because of the radiation, will only the rich survive because they have personal bunkers, will God intervene?

When Mike Pompeo was CIA director, he called for additional funding to achieve a full-fledged “Strategic Defense Initiative for our time, the SDI II”.  from the Wiki website above.

The following are some defense appropriations for fiscal year 2022 for military activities of the Department of Defense, for military research and development.

https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-congress/senate-bill/1605

If I read this correctly, S72,566,000 for missile defense research for 2022, not hardly enough. Underground shelters for survivors? NUCLEAR BIOLOGICAL CHEMICAL RECONNAISSANCE VEHICLEs for everyone?  America is not ready for a nuclear war, nor ever will be. That Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Test site still needs futuristic laser technology for missile defense. Where is Mr. Spock and Buck Rogers when you need them? Have faith in God.

Jeffrey Prather, former SOCOM soldier and DEA agent, says there are likely bioweapons labs in Ukraine used by the West. If so, this is evil in itself, then even moreso in that they caused a shooting war in which innocent civilians are killed. My take is this: I get it that Russia MURDERED maybe 5 – 6 mm Ukrainians during the Holodomor. I used to live in Edmonton, Alberta, which we also call Edmonchuk because of the many Ukrainians (good people!) I definitely just want Ukraine to be left alone and free… of Russia and the West. Here’s the problem: the fasco-Marxist Deep State are using Ukraine to encircle Russia, which has been invaded more than once (remember the Mongols from the other side, too). WHY do we need to have Ukraine in NATO? In fact, wasn’t NATO formed to resist the Soviet Union’s communism…. which NO LONGER EXISTS. Point is, people like traitor Lt. Col “Fat Boy” Vindman is the one with blood on his hands. The Deep State is using Ukrainian blood to poke a stick at the Russian Bear, or else take over the country, and turn it into yet another corrupted Western country, full of men in high heels, Big Pharma injecting everyone, it’s natural materials raped for the crony fake capitalists (that are no capitalists at all, as capitalism has creative destruction of failed endeavours as a central tenet.) IMHO, the current Ukrainian leader is a tool of the Deep State, but who is playing on valid Ukrainian animosities against the Russians. So, Ukrianians will die for their country, but in so doing hand it over to the fasco-Marxist Deep State. Soros and the vile Schwab must be salivating… no matter that people die. (Oh yeah… Hunter will need to get his cut of the dough in Ukraine, too, as well as the vile Biden crime family)

If Soros, Schwab, Biden, Vindman ad filthium just left Ukraine alone, they would be at peace right now. And no, I am not justifying Putin either…. but of course, the idiot left can always use their hackneyed cliche “Russia made me write this” (right after they use their other cliche on me, “23 skidoo!” or call me not “groovy.” This, in turn shows why we will win: the left and it’s pitch men are, to put it baldly, idiots. At least come up with something original, you leftist non-Einsteins – claim “Mongolia made me write this” or maybe “Botswana did.” Just cut your idiot boring cliches.

Ukraine for the Ukrainians…
