What Kind of HATE Lets Fellow Americans Go Hungry?
I recently experienced a level of hate that got me thinking: How far will leftist, “progressive,” Commie-sympathizers go to destroy freedoms so many of us take for granted? I found out. They will do anything, even if it means intentionally hurting people who simply think differently. We are living in frightening times.
I attended a patriot rally in Madeira Beach, Florida, that was organized by Dawn Simmons and her “Trump Squad.” Carl Prewitt and his “Tampa Bay Trump Supporters” joined amassing over two hundred patriots. The event demonstrated the incredible support President Trump still enjoys. It included a “mask-burning” to encourage folks to dump their “face diapers,” as the group calls them. By my account, it was an incredibly positive, patriotic event … until the food was scheduled to arrive.
According to Simmons, a food truck from a local taco restaurant in Treasure Island was reserved three weeks in advance for the well-coordinated event. The company was made aware of the rally’s focus when the reservation was made and had agreed to come. The truck was due to arrive to feed the hundreds of hungry Patriots after I left.
Noticing the truck leaving shortly after its arrival, Simmons called the driver to ask where they were going. The driver explained, so says Simmons, that the restaurant doesn’t “promote your cause.” One of the Patriots reached the restaurant owner by phone, who confirmed they left because of the ideology being promoted. Imagine what they could have done to the food.
In 2012, before gay marriages were recognized in many states, a master baker was asked by a gay couple to make their wedding cake. The couple wasn’t even from the area but had friends in Colorado where they went to get legally hitched. That’s when life for Jack Phillips and his family was nearly destroyed.
While he had created many “traditional” cakes for gays before, Phillips refused to bake their wedding cake on religious grounds. He’s a Christian. As such, he has also refused to create Halloween cakes, cakes made with alcohol or any cake that goes against his beliefs.
The gay couple, rather than simply calling another baker, filed an anti-discrimination lawsuit. They won in the lower courts and later in the highest court in that state. But, Phillips didn’t give up. While refusing to bake all wedding cakes rather than follow the courts’ order to bake cakes for gay couples, he lost about 40% of his business. That was his choice. He also managed to keep every employee on staff while doing so.
Years later, Phillips’ case made it to the U.S. Supreme Court, which ruled in his favor in Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission.
But life for Phillips didn’t return to normal after the high court’s decision. He’s faced recent challenges from the left’s transgender community. If current trends continue, “transhumanists” will be coming after him next. The attacks will never stop because the goal isn’t about winning a lawsuit. It’s about destroying the American way of life in the ultimate effort to bring our country down. And ruin people’s lives in the process.
Is there a difference between a Christian who refuses to bake a wedding cake for a couple based on their sexual orientation versus a restaurant that refuses to serve a group of Trump-loving Patriots? In my mind, there really is not. In America, a privately-owned company ought to have the right to conduct business as they see fit. It’s their business.
That said, consumers also have the right whether or not to patronize businesses depending on their own personal beliefs. That just makes common sense given our Constitution.
The restaurant owner in question here, however, clearly crossed a line when he entered into a verbal agreement weeks in advance to feed the two hundred hungry Patriots, and then didn’t show. If what Dawn Simmons says is true, this was most likely a deliberate action born of hate. And a breach of contract. Having known Dawn for several years, I’ve no reason to doubt her.
Will the Patriots sue the restaurant and make its owner’s life a living hell? They should. It’s one of the few viable counter-actions Patriots still have to stop the left’s relentless push towards Communism.
Unfortunately, and speaking in general, Conservatives are usually too busy working, being productive, and moving forward in life to bother with such negative stuff. Leftists, on the other hand, many unemployed and living on the taxpayer’s dole, have the time and an agenda that includes demolishing their “enemies.” It’s their way of taking from the “haves” and giving to the “have-nots.” Saul Alinsky, the father of community organizing and idol of the left, even says as much in his book, Rules for Radicals.
As stated in mine, Rules for Deplorables (a counter to Alinsky’s), “[h]is thirteen ‘tactics’ give the have-nots guidance on how to take from the haves and keep for themselves, otherwise known as ‘wealth redistribution.’” It’s precisely why the left has been lawsuit-crazy over the past few decades.
It’s an intentional act for an ultimate goal: to destroy America from within and pave the way to Communism. Patriots had better start fighting back if we want to save our country from this evil scourge.
In 2015, another privately-owned bakery was ordered to pay $135,000 to two lesbians who also sued over the owners’ refusal to bake them a wedding cake. According to an article by Fox News, the couple’s lawyer claimed that “the lesbian couple suffered great angst. One of the women ‘felt depressed and questioned whether there was something inherently wrong with the sexual orientation she was born with.’ They said she had ‘difficulty controlling her emotions and cried a lot.’ … The other woman ‘experienced extreme anger, outrage, embarrassment, exhaustion, frustration, intense sorrow and shame’ simply because” she didn’t get her cake and eat it, too. Imagine what the Patriots experienced by comparison!
I’d say what this taco restaurant put Trump Patriots through recently was far worse than any suffering the gay couples experienced for simply not getting a cake that was never even agreed to. The restaurant left a group of tired, heat-stroked, starving Patriots without food and drink that was earlier promised.
I hope the Patriots sue the taco-filling right out of this spiteful TDS-infected bunch of haters.
The left can profess to be on the “side” that cares about the homeless, the hungry, and the needy all they want. But, their actions on this, and so many other occasions, have proven they are anything but the caring people they pretend to be. Be careful where you eat.
