Matt Vespa, Townhall, 01May18, writes: “The series of sanctions slapped against them for missile tests, with added Chinese pressure caused North Korea to renew negotiations.”…
I don’t think that is quite an accurate understanding of what really happened to bring Rocketman to the table and fails to account for the suddenness of Kim’s rapid descent into accommodation. It fails to account for centuries of the inscrutable orientals primary preoccupation, to avoid shame and save face at all costs and, an equally pissed off China.
Knowing the Kim regime and how it works is easy enough to gauge their actions, normally, but news media analysts of Far Eastern political affairs, who don’t under the oriental mentality, can easily make false predictions based solely on the notions we Occidentals think.
Kim will never, never, ever give up his nuclear program. He’s in the club and he intends to stay there and he’s definitely not afraid of America or South Korea. But, he does listen to China. At the moment, China it’s in the business of making money but, something serious happened there that has stymied Kim’s plans and has threatened China’s economy and that simply won’t do, even when done by an inscrutable fellow despot.
It’s the radioactive leakage from Kim’s nuclear test site, Mount Mantap, that collapsed after his 100 Kiloton Hydrogen bomb detonation that’s causing the contaminating of a part of North Korea, a part of China and the waters of the Yalu River flowing into the Sea of Japan. Kim used this mountain for several prior nuclear bomb tests so it was already weakened. The final collapse has been catastrophic. Hundreds have died there in tunnel collapses and radiation poisoning.
This information is not generally unknown to the American public but it has appeared on a coupe of conservative sites warning of the potential of radioactivity to soon show up on the shores of Pacific Rim countries. The worst of the disaster, so far, is the contamination of the Chosin Aquifer which provides North Korea with over half of its water supply. The aquifer now shows sure signs of radioactive contamination. They have a problem there and China’s not happy,
But, this weeks news headlines revolves around Kim acceding to Trump’s demands. It does not ask the reason why? The first clue came after the massive detonation, with Kim’s sudden secret armored train trip to China’s to meet Premier Xi Jinping. That meeting was very short and had to have been brutal because within days, Kim casually threw out that he could meet with President Trump, which Trump immediately accepted. Actually, I think Trump already knew this was coming because, Xi Jinping told him. Kim is now facing a singular environmental disaster of unimaginable proportions that affects China as well, and he needs time. As an inscrutable Oriental, Kim is saving face. For China, Xi Jinping is too. Very important! In the meantime Kim will appear cooperative and sign agreements to officially end the war. He is already removing the many loud speakers installed above the DMZ which even kept me awake at nights when I served there in 1962.
Kim’s nuclear program has failed, spectacularly, and the consequences are world threatening. The ocean spread nuclear fallout, could reach far beyond anyone’s ability to control it. Kim cannot afford to lose face and in the midst of this historic failure, he needs all the friends he can get.
Remember, freedom is the goal, the Constitution is the way. Now, go get ‘em!
