What is the difference between eminent domain and theft? While eminent domain is a constitutionally delegated power, it is also limited to acquiring private property for public use and requires just compensation. So what happens when governments take property for the use of private companies or claim the authority to transfer that power to a third party. The Supreme Court claimed all that and more are legal, even though it is not authorized by the Constitution of the United States. But government theft is not limited to abuses of eminent domain. From the government stealing your property and rights through bans and regulations to stealing your money through collecting taxes for things they are not authorized to do. These are just a few of the ways that government is stealing from the people.
