Kim Potter, 48, used to be a police offer for the Minneapolis suburb of Brooklyn Center in Minnesota. She had served as the police union’s president in 2019, and had been on the department’s negotiation team, and worked as a field training officer. The 26-year police veteran is also a wife and mother of two. Unfortunately, as fate would have it, she is not being remembered by any of these things. Instead, she is being remembered as the police officer who accidentally shot, Daunte Wright, after mistaking her gun for a taser while trying to apprehend him. She has been charged with second-degree manslaughter and is on trial for his death. Video of the accident shows that Potter didn’t purposefully fire her gun at Wright, but the liberal media and mob social justice police are demanding she is found guilty.
The hosts of “After Dark” discuss the death of Wright and Officer Potter’s involvement and the double standard by the left. They call out the left’s constant call for justice when they perceive themselves to have been wronged but then turn their nose up at law and order when they inflict chaos on society.
