Quiet as it’s kept, the most important sports story happening right now isn’t about who’s going to the Super Bowl or the upcoming Olympics. Novak Djokovic not playing in the Australian Open and possibly not the French Open can’t touch this story. As important as the story is, neither ESPN nor the liberal media are reporting on it. What is the story? The story is about 22-year-old Lia Thomas, a swimmer at the University of Pennsylvania. Thomas has been dominating and shattering swimming records on the women’s team. What makes the story so important is the fact that Thomas isn’t a woman. Thomas is a biological male who has become a female.

Christopher “Chris” Tremoglie recently wrote a two-part story for the Washington Examiner about Thomas and how being on the UPENN swimming team has impacted the other female swimmers. He joins the hosts of “After Dark” to discuss the stories and his thoughts on why the media is ignoring what’s happening at UPENN. He also talks about his interview with one of Thomas’s teammates. She spoke with him and shared her feelings under the condition of anonymity. Tremoglie said the swimmer expressed frustration having Thomas, a transgender, competing in a sport designed for women.

In 1972 Title IX was passed to help transform women’s athletics and education. In short, the law requires schools and colleges receiving federal funds to give women and girls an equal chance to play sports and to treat men and women equally when it comes to athletic scholarships and other benefits like equipment, coaching, and facilities. Unfortunately, some 50 years later, that law is being taken advantage of, and the individuals it was designed to protect are being harmed.

Christopher Tremoglie is a commentator writer for the Washington Examiner. He graduated cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a double major in Political Science and Russian and East European Studies. He is a 3-time recipient of a Keystone Press Award. His writings have appeared in The Philadelphia Inquirer, Broad + Liberty, The Northeast Times, National Review, and Daily Caller. He has also appeared on OANN and FOX News. He is a volunteer fireman in his community. He was named a Philadelphia Person of the Year in 2020.

Women physically do not have the upper body strength. You can identify as whoever makes you comfortable, but the body design stays the same. A woman cannot compete with female muscle mass.
