There is no hiding what many have known for quite some time. Mitch McConnell is a member of the deep swamp. McConnell’s true self was exposed when he diverted valuable campaign money from key battleground state races. These were races where Republican candidates could have won had they had the funding, but “old Mitch” saw things differently, and those candidates were left to fend for themselves. It was as though he was deliberately planning the demise of these races. In some cases, like Arizona, he succeeded.
McConnell has done some good in his position as House Minority Leader. He worked diligently with former President Trump to get many federal judges elected around the country. But other than that, it is hard to see what else he has done besides allowing Joe Biden’s destructive agenda to pass without as much as a fight. McConnell is wrong for the Republican Party leadership position the same way the American voters got the mid-term election wrong.
