I’m not a fan of the various conservative conferences and rallies that have spread across America today. A small handful of them are good, but I won’t list those so nobody gets insulted by exclusion from a non-comprehensive list. The reason that most are useless is that we get juiced up, learn a little information, network, and then… nothing.

There doesn’t seem to be an interest in establishing actual goals or action items at these conferences and rallies. People don’t leave with a plan. They leave with a good feeling and some great pictures with famous conservatives. They might get to network with like-minded people, which is the best part of these conferences, but beyond that, there’s no real benefit for the nation or the local community.

The left doesn’t have these problems. Many of their “conferences” are actually planning sessions for their next attack on our constitutional republic. They aren’t just taking selfies and sharing recipes. They’re setting in motion events that will follow their meetings.

By no means am I suggesting that conservatives need to hold Antifa-style meetings to decide how to break the law. But we do need to have plans that launch at our gatherings, plans that extend beyond a day or a week. We need to take our conferences to the next level and have a real impact on America.

This is why a group I am in is launching the American Action Summits. I detail some of what is happening with the February 6 conference, titled “End Medical Tyranny.” You can probably tell what the topic is going to be. Lord willing, it will be the first of many such summits in which we help our local and online audiences establish a plan moving forward.

In the second segment of The JD Rucker Political Report on America Out Loud Talk Radio, I covered three stories in the news. First, we need to separate ourselves from the Chinese Communist Party as quickly and aggressively as possible. Today, far too much that happens in the United States is dependent on China. In many ways, some are beholden to the Chinese Communist Party. This needs to end.

The other two stories pertained to privacy:

This is a very good point. It is as if we all go to these meetings, make sure we are not alone, and then we go home. This must change. There is a story about this communist-turned-conservative who went to a conservative meeting and was shocked that there was no follow up, no action items. He described how at his commie meetings, everyone would be asked to bring 2 people with them to the next event. They would have a list of items and expect a report back at the next meeting. Would that work with conservatives? The price of freedom is eternal vigilance. We must do better.

A long while back at the turn of the millennium, there were these ‘Townhall Meetups’, organized around common interests. This one conservative local attracted up to between 40 – 50 people. Once a month, we would meet at a restaurant, eat, discuss an order of business and submit emails in order to discuss issues and plans with each other. There were two ‘leaders’, college professors, who collected the emails with the idea they would provide them to the group. Only they always ‘forgot’ the lists at subsequent meetings. They were always steering the group into dead ends. We wondered after awhile, ‘who picked these clowns, we didn’t’. It turns out their whole purpose was to thwart any purpose for the ‘meetup’. Not long after, the group dissolved.

Same thing happened with Tea Party group back in 2009. One individual kept quietly trying to steer individuals in another direction. That person was undeterred and annoying. Also, was from out of state.
Eventually Tea Party was destroyed by Obama’s IRS.

I’m sure those who were trying to steer everyone there were just the usual political hanger-on’s trying to parlay the newest political movement into a movement to put them into office, or just a good non-profit position without real work but a great donor base.

Perhaps, but I just read, “your conferences suck and my new ones will be great!”
I’m sure every new player in this field of beltway conferences (and ocean cruises; you just know he’ll be flogging ocean conferences with “special guests” as an additional revenue stream really soon) makes the same promises while booking the same speakers to bloviate as all the other one’s hire.

Have you seen the number of these conservative conferences for TX in the last year alone? OMG! It’s totally out of control. Exactly how this article describes. They are do nothing conferences. Like going to a high school gym for a silly rally. It always felt empty and stupid. Now they are doing it as adults.

Conservative conferences suck because it’s cliquey and uninviting. Way back when I was a Democrat I had no trouble socializing and feeling welcome. Maybe don’t treat regular people as outsiders

I NEVER read the sh*t Rucker spews out because this hack provides no email for comment or reply. We never ever use “social media” because social media stinks!

LOL
Your conference sucks but mine is going to be great!
Isn’t that the essence of what we just read?
