The current Coronavirus crisis that we find ourselves as a nation in the midst of has wreaked havoc on America, resulting in the hospitalization and the deaths of thousands of our loved ones. It has also caused severe damage to our once thriving economy that had been the envy of the entire world.
Over the last several weeks we have seen both the very best of our nation as people have responded to this crisis and have come together to help each other out. Neighbors helping neighbors, employers keeping their workers on the payroll while themselves suffering devastating financial losses for their business.
People sharing sometimes scarce necessities with those who can’t get out to the store to pick up the items they need. Many other small gestures of concern and support while still trying to follow the guidelines set out by the government to try to help slow the spread of the virus.

We are rightly proud of our amazing health care professionals. The doctors, nurses, and all the other support professionals that help to make the American health care system the best in the world.

As well as all of our other first responders, the police, fire fighters, and EMT’s whose work goes on regardless of the risks to themselves.
And certainly our thanks have to go out to all the truckers, farmers, grocery store workers, and all the other people who have stayed on the job to keep our country and the services we’re accustomed to continuing to run pretty smoothly.
We have faith in our scientist who are working diligently to try to develop a treatment and cure for this scourge, and we’re confident that the lessons learned from this pandemic will help us prevent, or at least lessen the impact of any future bio-threats.
And finally we must be thankful that we have a leader in the White House, President Donald Trump, who took decisive steps early on which helped to prevent a potentially much higher, even catastrophic infection rate. Along with the many steps he has implemented to try to save our economy from total collapse.
And unfortunately we have also seen some of the worst of our nation. The hoarding and ‘every man for himself’ attitude that has been on display by some people has been disappointing to say the least. Shortages of many of the much needed items in our stores was caused by some people who were thinking only of themselves.
But worst of all has been the response by the Democrats in Washington, D.C. and elsewhere around the country. Every day we are treated to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s daily press briefings from Albany. As Americans we certainly have concern for our fellow Americans in the Empire State, and we want them to have what they need to make it through this crisis. And much has already been done to meet their needs.

I can’t help but wonder if Governor Cuomo still thinks that “America was never that great”.

As one has also come to expect from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, both are simply incapable of putting politics aside and working for the good of the nation. Instead they continue to take cheap shots at the president and try to load up the much needed financial assistance that Americans desperately need with purely politically motivated ‘pork’ spending.
And last but certainly not least, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the most dishonest, corrupt, and despicable politician in American history to ever run for the highest office in the land feels compelled to attack President Trump at every opportunity. Never offering anything constructive, only cheap shots and insults.
The nation has clearly been facing a huge challenge in confronting and dealing with this Coronavirus crisis and the resulting economic impact for the past few months. But as a nation we have had to put up with Hillary Clinton for decades now. She’s like a bad case of the stomach flu and all that comes with that ailment. And she simply won’t go away, no matter how sick she makes us.
