What condition do you think that freedom is in America? How free are you to live your life as you see fit? How constrained is your life, your speech, your very thoughts? When I was younger, we would say, “I may vehemently disagree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.” Is that the state of freedom in America today? Sadly, if I were to look at freedom in America as a patient, it would be on life support. I say that because our freedom to live at liberty, speak what we please, even think as we please is quickly disappearing, much like the heartbeat of a dying patient.
